This page includes key information for residents of Enfield Island Village, including tenants and leaseholders.
Management of the island is divided between estate managers depending on location. The map below outlines how management of the Island is divided, and who is responsible for managing each area. Click here to download a PDF version of the estate management map.
Many of the common areas of the Island (like parkland and footpaths) are managed by the Enfield Island Village Trust’s appointed estate manager Rendall & Rittner. Issues with estate maintenance (e.g. fly tipping or damage to common facilities) can be reported to them via MyPlace or by emailing enfieldislandvillagepm@rendallandrittner.co.uk.
Restrictive Covenants
Restrictive covenants are rules that come with your home. They’re written into your property’s paperwork (the deeds) and set out what you can and can’t do with your property, such as building an extension, changing your front garden, or running a business from home. They stay with the property, so they apply to you even if you didn’t know about them when you bought, and they’ll apply to whoever buys it from you. If you rent, the rules still matter to you: tenants are expected to follow them too, and the homeowner (your landlord) is responsible for making sure that happens. If a rule is broken, the owner could be asked to put things right, and it can cause problems when the property is sold.
Before you start any work or make changes, please check the covenants in the PDF below, and if you’re not sure whether something is allowed, get in touch with the Trustees for advice.
